SBU to Honor Dr. Strait, Ms. Heifner and Award Honorary Doctorates on Founders’ Day

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Southwest Baptist University will celebrate Founders’ Day with a formal chapel program Wednesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU Takes Third at U.S. Dannon Trust Competition

BOLIVAR, Mo. – A group of Southwest Baptist University students recently competed in the national Dannon TRUST Competition held at Dannon’s Headquarters in White Plains, New York. SBU’s “Team Victory” placed third overall out of 14 teams, with Pennsylvania State University and Columbia University placing first and second. Approximately 30 students from the top universities in the U.S. were challenged to create new marketing techniques for Dannon yogurt products and were required to give a 20-minute presentation of their marketing ideas.

 


Steve Whisler Facilitates Fundraising Session

BOLIVAR, MO – Steve Whisler, Southwest Baptist University’s director of estate planning and church relations, was the facilitator in a break-out session for educational institutions on the topic of current trends in fundraising during the 21st annual conference of the Missouri Baptist Development Council (MBDC) of which Whisler is a charter member.

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University has been named one of America's 100 Best College Buys® for the 14th consecutive year and one of America's Best Christian Colleges® for the 13th consecutive year. In addition, for the third year in a row SBU has been named among schools with America's Best College Scholarships®.

SBU to Celebrate Homecoming 2009: Southwest Safari

BOLIVAR, MO Southwest Baptist University will journey through a “Southwest Safari” Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. Students will begin their activities earlier in the week with such traditions as "Spirit Chapel" and "Bed Races." The football game will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday versus Southern Nazarene.
