SPRINGFIELD, MO - St. John's College of Nursing of Southwest Baptist University Pinning Ceremony will be held Thursday evening, May 21, at 7:00 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield. Ninety-seven graduates will be pinned. 

Special musical presentations by the graduates will include, “Find Your Wings” by Mark Harris, performed by Melissa Gargiulo, Juliana Holloway, Michele Larson, Joy Sanchez, Dawn Troxler, and Donna Viers. Tyler Wakefield will be performing “In My Life” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and Patricia Dennis will perform “He is Able” by Lanny Wolfe.

Kelly Boulware will be speaking for the ASN graduating class and Patricia Dennis, RN, will be representing the BSN graduating class.

The pinning ceremony is the culmination of the journey from nursing student to practicing professional nurse. The graduating nursing students choose the people who award them with their pin, often selecting family members or friends who helped them along their journey.

Friends, family and the community are invited to attend.  Ridgecrest Baptist Church is located at 2210 W. Republic Rd. in Springfield.
