SBU Spring Chorale Concert Presented on April 19

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will present its Spring Concert on Monday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.  Admission is free and a reception for the audience will be held backstage following the concert.

SBU Chamber Orchestra Concert April 15

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The public is invited to attend a free concert featuring the Southwest Baptist University Chamber Orchestra, Dr. Brian K. Hopwood, conductor, at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 15. The concert will be presented in the Meyer Recital Hall, Casebolt Music Building, on the SBU campus.

SBU and Logan-Rogersville High Musicians to Perform Together

BOLIVAR, MO – The Southwest Baptist University Wind Symphony, Brian K. Hopwood, conductor, will present a free concert on Thursday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Pike Auditorium on the SBU campus. Guest ensemble will be the Logan-Rogersville High School Concert Band, Jim Shannon, conductor.

Prepare Ye the Way for Godspell

SBU University Libraries Author Series 2010 Spring Event – Heather Gilion, Author

BOLIVAR, MO – Mrs. Heather Gilion will be the featured author of the University Libraries’ Spring 2010 Meet the Author Series event to be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 4 in Hutchens Library located on the Southwest Baptist University campus in Bolivar. Mrs. Gilion’s book, Dancing on My Ashes: Learning to Love the One Who Gives and Takes Away, was co-written with her sister Holly Snell.   It tells their inspiring true story of restoration and triumph following the tragic loss of their husbands.
