SBU Theatre to present "New Works"

BOLIVAR, MO – The Southwest Baptist University theatre department will present “A Festival of New Works” at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27 in Davis-Newport Theater located in Jester Learning and Performance Center on the University’s Bolivar campus.

 

The “Festival of New Works” will highlight the work of student playwrights. The evening will include performances of “The Understanding” by alumna Charlotte (Holman) Atchley, “The End” by alumna Julia Bartgis, “Going Up” and “No One” by senior Jessica Elder, “Crowded House” by junior Sarah Molder and “Influence” by sophomore Holly Stubbs. The original works will be directed by juniors Carly Breaux and Hannah Utley, and seniors Emily Jennings, Krista Juliff, Amy Whitehead and Elder.

 

The performances will be followed by a post-show discussion to provide the featured playwrights with audience feedback.
