SBU PT faculty gain Board Certification

BOLIVAR, MO – SBU Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Dr. Amber Fleer, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, and Instructor of Physical Therapy Kelly Coleman, PT, OCS, ACCE recently were awarded presidential awards during the Board of Trustees luncheon.

 

Both were recognized for becoming Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialists during the summer of 2009 while completing the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty (ABPTS).

 

To obtain certification, candidates must submit evidence of required clinical practice in a specific area. Candidates must also successfully complete a written exam, demonstrate knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in the specialized area.
