BOLIVAR, MO –Southwest Baptist University Professor of Mathematics Dr. Bob Glasgow, presented two sessions at the Interface Conference in Osage Beach, Missouri, on Friday, February 20. Interface is an annual conference hosted by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education focusing on mathematics and science.
Dr, Glasgow said, “I spoke at Interface A which is for Missouri teachers of grades K through 6. My sessions were titled: "GeoGebra: Teaching and Technology" and my co-presenter was Nancy Bergfeld, from the Valley Park School District. The description of our session is below. “GeoGebra is free dynamic geometry software that can be downloaded on both PC and MAC platforms. Participants will explore the software, the accompanying website, and be guided through several activities in the Measurement and the Number and Operation strands that are ready for classroom implementation.
“Interface A was attended by about 500 teachers from across the state. We had about 50 teachers attending our sessions.”
