SBU Hosts Math Contests for Area Schools

BOLIVAR, MO –Southwest Baptist University’s Department of Mathematics recently hosted the 11th Annual Math Contests on Jan. 23 and Feb. 27. On Jan. 23, approximately 376 students from more than 20 Missouri schools arrived on SBU’s Bolivar campus to compete in the math contest. On Feb. 27, approximately 280 students from 24 Missouri schools competed.

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University seniors Brooklyn Dye and Rebecca Jarred recently presented “Classroom Investigation: Fractional Forensics” with Professor of Mathematics Bob Glasgow at the annual conference of the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics, held in Columbia.
SBU PT faculty gain Board Certification
BOLIVAR, MO – SBU Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Dr. Amber Fleer, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS, and Instructor of Physical Therapy Kelly Coleman, PT, OCS, ACCE recently were awarded presidential awards during the Board of Trustees luncheon.
SBU Mathematics Professor Presents at Conference
BOLIVAR, MO –Southwest Baptist University Professor of Mathematics Dr. Bob Glasgow, presented two sessions at the Interface Conference in Osage Beach, Missouri, on Friday, February 20. Interface is an annual conference hosted by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education focusing on mathematics and science.
