BOLIVAR, MO – Jenell Wagner, new assistant professor of accounting at Southwest Baptist University, is an SBU graduate and a world-class scholar. According to SBU accounting department chair, Wayne Clark, Wagner earned a "top ten score" in the world for the fall 2008 Certified Management Accountant test group.

Wagner said, "I loved being a student at SBU, and I'm excited to be back here teaching in a Christian environment."

Wagner is a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, where she also serves as a finance committee member, media center director, and works with youth.

Wagner earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and religious studies, from SBU in 1986; a Masters of Accountancy, from Missouri State University (MSU) in 1997. Wagner has worked in banking and taught at Business Colleges, as well as per-course (adjunct) instructor at MSU.

Wagner's interests include reading, cooking, snow-skiing, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
