Renew A Book

Students, faculty and staff may renew a book checked out from any of the SBU University Libraries if:

  • no one else has placed a hold (putting a request on an electronic waiting list) on the item, or

  • the item has not reached its maximum number of checkouts.

Generally SWAN-MOBIUS books may also be renewed.

To renew an item, students, faculty and staff may use one of the following methods:

1.  At the Circulation & Reserves Desk

  • Bring the item to the Circulation & Reserves Desk to be renewed.

  • Bring along your SBU I.D. card.

2.  Over the Phone

  • Call the Circulation & Reserves Desk and ask for the book to be renewed.
