How do I get a login and password?

The Proxy Server accepts your GroupWise account login and password.   If you do not have a GroupWise account, contact the University Libraries during normal library operating hours by calling 417-328-1620 for information.

What is a Proxy Server?

A proxy server allows authorized users, working from an off-campus location, to have access to most University Libraries licensed online resources.

When do I need to use the Proxy Server?

Use the Proxy Server to connect with the Library databases when you are not on campus or when you cannot use your SBU dial-up account from a local connection.

Who may use the Proxy Server?

Individuals who are current SBU students, faculty and staff are considered authorized users.

What Internet browser do I need to use?

An Internet browser such as Internet Explorer version 5.0 or Netscape version 4.5 is needed.

How do I get help?

Contact University Libraries by calling 417-328-1620 during normal library operating hours or by e-mailing the Libraries’ webmaster from the Proxy Server screen where you attempted to login.
