Interlibrary Loan

This service is available to anyone with a current SBU identification card or a current guest library card.  If a particular book or article that you need is not available in our library, we will be happy to request it from another library through the Interlibrary Loan program.

If a book is available from a SWAN-MOBIUS library it should be requested through the library catalog rather than through interlibrary loan.  Generally the delivery time will be much shorter.

There are two places to fill out the ILL forms.

1.  First, in OCLC Firstsearch ArticleFirst or WorldCat databases you can find the article or book you would like to receive and click on the ILL button.  This should bring up a form which you can fill out and submit.

2. Second, you can fill out this generic form which requires you to already know the citation information for the article or book you are requesting.

For more information or for assistance with the interlibrary loan process, please contact the Reference Services Librarian or the Patron Services Supervisor.
