All students who are currently enrolled at
SBU may use the library resources though it may require that
distance education or off-campus students access materials in
different or additional ways that the traditional library user.
Regardless of where the student is located, proof of
enrollment--specifically a current SBU I.D. card, may be needed to
provide information for library systems or for checkout of materials.
If you need assistance finding articles, books or other resources
related to your research for an SBU course, contact a librarian (see
the contact information below).
You will need to be prepared to share
the following information with the librarian:
- course name and instructor name
- research topic
- types of information resources
you need (books, articles, scholarly journals, etc.)
- how many resources you want or
need
- other research parameters (is
there a time period on how recent the articles must be, etc.)
- your research project deadline
- any other useful information
The librarian will work with you to
locate information that will useful in your research.
If needed, the librarian will communicate with you further by phone or
email.
