November 17, 2005 - Tonight (11/17) is our last night with our family in the courtyard. We will be leaving Bobo early on Saturday morning to travel to the capital, Ouaga. We will spend one night in Ouaga before leaving to go to Ghana on the 20th.
November 11, 2005 - Things are winding down here. Although this past week has been busy.
November 4, 2005 - When I woke up at five this morning, I began thinking about the students who are currently preparing to leave on their semesters abroad. I remember last fall when I was wondering who I was going to go with and where we were going to go.
October 28, 2005- My final Jula exam is finally over, and it went extremely well! The night before our 8:30am language exam, our phone rang. It was the school administrator. She wanted us to know that the examiner couldn't come to give us our tests until 3:30pm.
October 21, 2005 - Two and a half weeks of school have already passed by for kids in our courtyard. All children six and older who can afford to pay tuition attend school. The tuition for the public schools is cheaper than the tuition

August 26, 2005 - "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. Over the past week, things have not been so easy in West Africa. We have been under a lot of spiritual which has come in the form of interpersonal conflict.
August 17 , 2005 - Lately the time here in Burkina has been consumed with ESL. I feel like that is all I have talked about over and over and over and over again so I will spare you this time. All I am going to say is that we are in week three of classes and things seem to be going well though the schedule is overwhelming.
August 12, 2005 - It's NEW and it's all the rage here in West Africa! What is it? It's ice! I know that ice isn't new to us but it is very rare here. Let me tell you how this ice fetish got started with our fan club.
August 5, 2005 - Somogow do? (How are you?) Everything is going well in Jula land. After what seems like months of planning, ESL has finally gotten off the ground. As you already know, Alisha and I will be teaching ESL during the remainder of our time here in Africa.
July 29, 2005 - Last Saturday we had our big ESL evaluation time. Of course, being that it is Africa, not everyone who had signed up for classes felt obliged to come to the testing.

July 8, 2005 - Truly, the first forty-five days that we have spent here have been amazing. Although I could go on and on about all the things that my Father has done, I will let you know what has been going on this past week.
July 1, 2005 - Living in Africa is unbelievable in SO many ways! First it’s unbelievable because anything can happen!
