Why do I enjoy teaching at SBU? "I enjoy teaching at SBU because the students are great. They are motivated to learn and they are outstanding individuals as well. The faculty and staff are professional and wonderful to work with."

Educational and Professional Background: Wooderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Baptist College, a Master of Science degree from Drury College, and a Specialist Degree from Southwest Missouri State University.

Wooderson taught and coached for 30 years in Missouri Public Schools. He taught and coached football and track in Jefferson City Public Schools from 1975 - 1979; foootball, wrestling, and track in Springfield Public Schools from 1979 - 1996; coached football at SBU from 1985 - 1994; and a Principal in the Springfield Public Schools from 1996 - 2005. Wooderson has been an instructor at SBU since 2005.

Faith Dedications: Wooderson is a deacon, youth worker, and has been a Chairman and member of several committees while attending at the South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri.
