Degrees, Majors and Certifications

Academic programs are offered which lead to Missouri teacher certification in grades K-12, K-9, and 9-12. The department also offers certification programs in health education.

The sports management major is an interdisciplinary program designed for students interested in a career in sports-related areas other than education.

The HPER department offers the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science degrees in Church Recreation and Community Recreation, or an option in Therapeutic Recreation. The programs of study are designed for persons desiring to serve as recreation practitioners in a wide variety of settings.
