The course requirements for the political science major are as follows: - General education requirement prerequisite to this major POL 1113 American Government and Politics, 3 hours. This general education course (marked **PS) is required but not counted as hours on the academic major. Transfer students not showing credit for this course must complete the deficiency as a prerequisite to the political science major.
