Academic Scholarships

To learn the exact academic scholarship you may be eligible to receive, simply complete the admissions process.  You must be enrolled as a full-time, Bolivar campus, undergraduate student, to receive these scholarships.  With the exception of the Dutile Scholars Award, you may receive only one academic scholarship. 

Academic-Competitive Scholarships

If you qualify to receive an Ingman Distinguished Scholars Award or a Pike Scholars Award (see Merit-Based Scholarships below), you may apply for any academic-competitive scholarship.  To apply, complete the Scholars Application by January 15, 2013, and attend Scholars Day, February 9, 2013.

J.R. Maupin Founders Award:  Full-tuition (3 awards offered annually)

Dutile Scholars Award:  $500-$2,500 (Unlimited awards given annually)

Merit-based Scholarships

Unlimited amounts of each of these scholarships are given annually based on your GPA and ACT/SAT scores.


Ingman Distinguished Scholars Award:  $9,000
Some past recipients include Rachel, who had a 30 on the ACT and a 4.0 GPA and Matt, who had a 28 on the ACT and a 3.85 GPA.

Pike Scholars Award:  $8,500
Some past recipients include Abigail, who had a 29 on the ACT and a 3.5 GPA and Jon, who had a 25 on the ACT and a 3.75 GPA.

Board of Trustees Scholars Award - $8,000 Some past recipients include Steven, who had a 26 on the ACT and a 3.7 GPA and Kim, who had a 21 on the ACT and a 3.6 GPA.

Presidential Scholars Award - $7,000 Some past recipients include Katelyn, who had a 21 on the ACT and a 3.3 GPA and Daniel, who had a 19 on the ACT and a 3.0 GPA.

SBU Achievement Grant - $4,000 The SBU Achievement Grant is based on academic potential, demonstrated commitment and dedication to service in high school, church or your community.  This grant is not available if you qualify for academic scholarships.
