Financial Aid for Graduate Students
Southwest Baptist University offers a comprehensive financial assistance program designed to recognize student financial needs and to meet these needs with a combination of University, federal, state and private assistance sources. All assistance is awarded on the basis of financial need and the total amount of assistance cannot exceed that need. Application for assistance is made by:
- filing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which is the intial application for federal and state aid,
- if selected for verification, supplying additional information as requested by the Office of Financial Aid,
- student must be degree seeking and accepted into the program of study before receiving aid,
- graduate students are eligible to receive funding only from the Stafford, Grad Plus, and alternative loan programs. For more information, please click on Student Loans.
- New for Grad Plus Loans made after July 1, 2008. Students applying for Grad Plus funds must now complete entrance counseling. Please visit http://mappingyourfuture.org/sge for entrance counseling. Upon leaving SBU you will need to do exit counseling at http://mappingyourfuture.org/sgx.
