SOUTHWEST BAPTIST UNIVERSITY
TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONAL REPORT
For 2006-2007
Under Title II reporting during the 2006-2007 academic year, 165 students had been accepted into the teacher education program and were pursuing elementary, middle, or secondary certification. A total of 83 students completed supervised student teaching in either the fall or spring semester. At Southwest Baptist University, student teaching consists of a minimum of 35 hours per week for 12 weeks. Placement for student teaching is made in schools that are within a 50-mile radius of Bolivar. The faculty-student ratio in supervised student teaching during the 2006-2007 report year was 2.4 in the fall and 3.6 in the spring.
The teacher education program of Southwest Baptist University has been granted approval by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education through May 2014.

A total of 100 students completed supervised student teaching in either the fall or spring semester. At Southwest Baptist University, student teaching consists of a minimum of 35 hours per week for 12 weeks. Placement for student teaching is made in schools that are within a 50-mile radius of Bolivar. The faculty-student ratio in supervised student teaching during the 2005-2006 report year was 3.4 in the fall and 3.3 in the spring.

Placement for student teaching is made in schools that are within a 50-mile radius of Bolivar. The faculty-student ratio in supervised student teaching during the 2004-2005 report year was 2.9 in the fall and 3.7 in the spring.
