Current Research: Bryant is currently examining components of exemplary teacher education programs for "best practices" that could be infused into our programs.
Educational / Professional Background: Bryant earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She also earned a Master of Science Education, emphasis in Reading Education, from Southwest Missouri State University. Bryant earned a Doctor of Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Reading Education.
Bryant has taught in elementary and middle school classrooms for several years before coming to SBU in 1989. She holds a lifetime certification in elementary education and social studies grades 7-9.
Why you enjoy teaching at SBU: "I love teaching and working with young people of all ages. Teaching at SBU provides me with the best of both teaching worlds in that I get to work with college students who are preparing to be teachers and I also get to go into public school classrooms to supervise them as student teachers."
Faith Dedications: Bryant is an active member of First Baptist Church of Bolivar in WMU, adult choir, Fox current missions group, and Sunday school class.
