"I graduated from SBU in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and mathematics. Currently, I'm working as a Senior Project Manager for Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I have found that having a math degree in conjunction with my computer science degree has given me respect. While computer science changes a lot, math is constant like engineering in the job market.

When I was at SBU my impression was that the math department teaches in a learning versus "test and beat" way. I sincerely appreciate that. I would highly recommend SBU over any state school from a quality perspective alone.
