Educational background: Schmitt earned a Registered Nurse Diploma from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1995, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University in 1996, and later a Master of Science in Nursing/FNP from Missouri State University in 2001.
Why do you enjoy teaching? " Teaching is a joy because it is always rewarding to see people understand a new concept for the first time. Teaching also challenges me to stay abreast of the latest research and clinical findings."
Areas of ministry: Schmitt works in the Preschool area in a local church, and is involved with the Bridges for Youth after-school program.
