What are some books you have read recently? My reading selection is sometimes scattered on levels and genre. I am presently working on A Patriot's History of the United States and Being Consumed. I recently finished a couple of young adult books (suggested by my daughter); The Secret Benedict Society and Fair Weather. Some of my very favorite books are by Ralph Moody.
Describe your best get-a-way vacation. I would like to spend a month in a nice beach house with Sue (wife of 35 years), a few books, some old movies (no TV), and a fishing pole.
What is something you have learned this year? I have
learned a lot about politics and talk shows.
If you could take any class, what would that class be? Art…almost any kind.
If you could be any animal, what would it be?A humming bird would be fun. Though he
be but little, he is fierce.
Do you have a Facebook or MySpace account (which)? I do, but I seldom ever visit them. After work, I would rather spend time outside with my dog, or in good conversation with family, friends…or my dog – no computers or gadgets involved.

How long have you been teaching at SBU? In my 7th year.Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? I want to be part of a culture that believes in a Christian Worldview.
What are some of your faith dedications (where do you attend church and in what are you involved)? I am presently a member of First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri.
What is your educational background? I am a life-long learner with lots of interests. I have recently taken art and bible classes at SBU, and I’m looking forward to other classes of interest - I enjoy learning new material and seeing how other faculty at SBU teach. Previous background includes 10 years in the United States Air Force (Master Instructor) – it was during that time that I completed my bachelors and masters degrees (the best way to fund my education). My undergraduate degree is in Ag-Industry/Business from Arizona State University. My masters is in education/computer technology from the University of Denver. I have an MBA from Southwest Baptist University and a doctorate in Applied Technology/Training and Development from the University of North Texas. I have enjoyed taking classes from more than 10 universities and colleges, The Christian Writers Guild, H&R Block, a few industry training organizations, and the Springfield Art Museum.What do you do in your leisure time? I enjoy taking classes of interest (art is a favorite), traveling (Alaska and New York to see grandkids), reading, and gardening.
