Gas Chromatograph

ChromatographThe department of chemistry owns a GOW-MAC Model 69, Series 350, Thermal Conductivity Gas Chromatograph. This dual-column instrument is used by students in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, undergraduate research and independent study. The detector output from the GOW-MAC gas chromatograph may be printed out on a strip chart recorder. The detector output may also be captured directly into a personal computer using an electronic interface built by the department. This interface allows students complete freedom to use the computer to analyze and printout their data in publication-quality graphics.
