What do you do in your leisure time? I love to spend time with my amazing wife, Amanda. I also like to read, watch sports of any kind, and walk our dog. I am also a big reality TV fan.

Have you served on any short-term mission teams? I went to Mexico in college on a mission trip and enjoyed the experience greatly. I look forward to supporting foreign and local missions at SBU.

What are some books you have read recently? "How to Watch the Olympics" by David Goldblatt & Johnny Acton (my wife thinks I could have written this book!), "The Almanac of American Politics" by Michael Barone (yes, I actually read this for fun!) and "Good Intentions" .

Describe your best get-away vacation. My family (20 of us) went to Myrtle Beach last summer and shared a huge beach house. We had a blast!

What is something you have learned this year? Patience.

If you could take any class, what would it be? Life Economics with Angie Wright.

If you could be any animal what would you be? Well...some people have said I am a giraffe, so I'll go with that.

Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? Since I haven't started yet, I can't really answer this question, but I have no doubt that I will enjoy interacting with students and sharing my passion for free-market economics with students.

What are some of your faith dedications? My wife, Amanda, and I have served in our church in Columbia for the last six years and are really looking forward to finding a new church family in Bolivar. I have coached Upward Basketball the last five years and I love that ministry. Amanda and I both have a passion for helping children so I am looking forward to finding ways to serve in children's ministries in Bolivar.

What is your educational background? I received a Bachelor of Arts from SBU in 2005 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2009.
