Department of Business Administration
The Business Administration Department offers Bachelors of Science degrees with majors in: Economics/Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Public Relations as well as an Associate of Science degree in Business.
2005-2006 graduates’ employment rate: 97-98%
- Two positions remained open, not taken by graduates
- Approximately 20% of 2005-2006 graduates went on to graduate school
- 3 students took positions earning greater than $58,000
- 5-10 students yearly go into our 5th year MBA program directly upon graduation
Student successes
- PBL National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on June 24-27 – four students competed – two students placed.
- SIFE – Competed at their 22nd consecutive National Conference in May 2006 (unofficially the longest running consecutive regional winner)
MFT Scores
- A large part of COBACS’ students who scored in the top 5-10% on the Major Field Test that tests our seniors in eight areas (accounting, quantitative analysis, business law, international business, economics, finance, marketing, and management). Two hundred thousand students across the nation from 456 colleges/ universities take this test: Fall – 90%, Spring – 95%

International Experiences The Business Department completed their third annual international trip. In 2005-2006, students and faculty members traveled to Greece and Turkey. In May 2007, department faculty will take the students to china. Also, each year two to four business students participate in studying abroad, spending one semester in different countries, such as England (London and Oxford), Scotland, Ireland, Hong Kong, and Australia.
