Women's Tennis Coaching Staff


Assistant Coach Dante Cipullli

Dante Cipulli will begin his coaching career learning under one of the best coaches in the United States, John Bryant. Cipulli is entering his second year as an assistant coach for SBU after graduating in May 2005.

Cipulli rewrote what a SBU player should be in his three years as a Bearcat. In his senior year, he won the ITA NCAA Division II Singles National Championship and then won the Small Colleges Super Bowl Championship. With that win, he advanced to the NCAA Divison I National Championships where he posted a 2-2 record. He also guided SBU to their third straight MIAA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. He left SBU with a 110 career wins which is a Bearcat record.

In the MIAA, he claimed several top awards. He was a two-time MIAA MVP and voted unanimously all-MIAA First-Team two years in a row at #1 singles. He also won numerous Player of the Week awards.

His name became a nationally known name in the ITA awards as he was a two-time ITA all-American. In his senior year, he was given the National Player of the Year award, ITA Regional Player of the Year, and then voted an ITA All-Star. Before claiming the national championship his senior year, he was the national runner-up his junior year for singles. In doubles competiton, he teamed up with Johan Nortje as the finished third in the nation in 2004.

The state of Missouri recognized his tennis accomplishments in Februray 2005 when he was awarded the Missouri Sports Achievement Award for his national championship.

Cipulli is a native of Tucuman, Argentina, and is working on his master's of business.
