Hodson claimed wins at the #2 doubles and #5 singles to give SBU two of their three points. |
MARYVILLE, MO. ... Northwest Missouri State won two close singles matches to pull away a 6-3 win over Southwest Baptist. NWMSU was up 2-1 heading into singles play.
SBU's only doubles win came at the #2 match when Valerie Jones and Lauren Hodson teamed up to defeat Carolina Amaral and Raven Hemer, 8-2.
Jones then won her #3 singles match over Lina Duque, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4, and Hodson won the #5 match 6-4, 6-3 over Danielle Cartier. In the #4 singles match, Lynne Klaasen lost to Herner, 5-7, 7-5, 6-1, and then Emina Behlic fell to Amanda Hardie, 7-6, 6-2.
