LADY BEARCATS RECORD FIRST MIAA WIN

BOLIVAR, MO. ... In the final home match of the 2004 season, the Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats (7-7/1-2) evened their record with an 8-1 win over Missouri Western State College. MWSC's only win came in doubles action.
All of SBU's single matches were won. Melanie Cook (#1), Charlotte Heidelberg (#2), Lynne Klaasen (#3), Valerie Jones (#4), Lindsay Hickel (#5), and Sarah Smith (#6) all picked up wins.
In doubles, Heidelberg/Jones and Klaasen/Hickel won the #1 and #3 matches, respectively.
SBU will now travel to Kansas City on Tuesday, April 6, to face Rockhurst University.
