After Haringey, he went into sports development in as an officer in his community. His job was to develop sports in his community as he also helped with the London Marathon and London Youth Games. This opportunity also allowed him to work witih professional clubs such as Tottenham Hotspurs FC, Arsenal FC, Enfield Town Ladies FC and the London Broncos Rugby Club. Along with the clubs, he worked with professional athletes Joe Mbu (rugby) and Mark Lewis (track). Browning graduated from SBU with his masters in Business in July of 2008.

Coach Wade on Mitchell, "Mitchell has grown into one of the most valuable assets of our soccer program. He is our defensive coordinator, and will implement any style and/or formation that I want to run, giving the defenders multiple one on one training sessions throughout the week. This allows me to completely focus on the attack."
