Bolivar, MO. ... Texas Women's University (0-2) took an early 1-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game but that was the only lead they had as three minutes later Southwest Baptist University netted three goals in under two minutes to take control of the game, 3-1. The Lady Bearcats went on to claim a 6-1 win.

After TWU's Emily Meinen scored at the 5:50 mark, Ashley Munnelly picked up her first goal as a Lady Bearcat to tie the game (8:43). Just three seconds later, Stephanie Lusardi bolted one past TWU goalie Sara Weaver and then Pip Meo made it 3-1 only 10 minutes into the game.

New Zealander Hayley Moorwood recorded her first collegiate and SBU goal in the 39th minute to give SBU a 4-1 advantage at halftime.

Lusardi came away with her second goal in the 73rd minute and Valerie Chaston connected on her first goal in the 2004 season at the 81:47 mark. Moorwood, Meo, Bright, and Collins all had assists while Vanessa Toll had two assists.

SBU will take on another challenge as they travel north to take on Minnesota-Mankato on Saturday, September 4, in Mankato, Minnesota at 3 p.m.
