BOLIVAR, MO. ... Improving to 4-0 on the 2004 season, the #25 Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats came away with a 3-0 win over Christian Brothers Unviersity (0-3). CBU was ranked #15 last week prior to two straight losses.

Pip Meo scored the first two goals of the game to give SBU a 2-0 lead. She picked up her first goal in the 23rd minute when she broke open in the middle of the box as Ashley Munnelly tapped her the ball for the 1-0 lead. Her second goal came in the 47th minute when Vanessa Toll got Meo the ball. Meo’s shot then went off of CBU’s goalie’s hands to go up 2-0.

Sally Wade made it 3-0 on a penalty kick when a SBU player was fouled in the box in the 50th minute.

SBU’s goalie Sara Eppler improved to 4-0 as she picked up two saves on three CBU shots.

The #25 Lady Bearcats will take on Rockhurst University on Tuesday, September 14, in Kansas City, at 7 p.m. Rockhurst is ranked #7 in the latest NCAA Division II Central Regional Poll.
