Loses Second Straight

ARKADELPHIA,
Ark. - Even though senior Allison Davis scored 27 points,
SBU dropped its second straight game of theseason, 70-63.
The loss came at the hands of Henderson State in Arkadelphia,
Ark.
SBU shot
.429 from the floor (24-56) and.571 from the arc (8-14), but
only got to the line nine times in Tuesdays loss. The Lady
'Cats hit seven of those throws for 77.8 percent from the
charity stripe.
Also scoring
in double figures for the Lady 'Cats was Amber Wheeler (11)
and Tasha Goldsmith (10). Wheeler's 11 came in only nine minutes
of play.
Another
contributing factor to the loss was the 28 turnovers by SBU.
The Lady
Reddies were up 39-37 at the break and outscored the Lady
'Cats 31-26 in the second period.
SBU returns
to action on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. when it hosts Southern
Arkansas. The contest will also be "Take A Kid To The
Game Night" at Davison Field House. All children 18 and
younger will receive free admission with a paying adult.
SBU won
the earlier meeting between the two teams on Nov. 27 in Magnolia,
Ark., 80-71.
