SBU Wins Third Straight

BUENA VISTA, Fla. - SBU won the first game of the Holiday Classic defeating Minnesota State-Mankato on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 70-69.

The women won on a last-second layup by Gwyn Smith, assisted by Jenny Miller.

In the first half, MSM was up by eight three different times and ten points twice.

However, SBU outscored their opponents 26-15 in the last 13 minutes to lead 33-32 at halftime.

Both teams scored 37 points in the second period.

SBU returns to action on Wedbesday, Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. EST when they face Indianapolis in Disney's Holiday Classic in Orlando, Fla.
