Sara returns for her second season on the coaching staff coach for the Bearcat's women's basketball team.

Surratt was a 2004 graduate of Rio Vista High School in Texas where she played basketball and volleyball, and ran cross country.

After high school, Surratt continued her basketball career playing three years for the Ouachita Baptist University Lady Tigers as a shooting guard. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist in 2007 with a BA in Biology.

Along with her coaching responsibilities, Surratt is working towards her Masters in Education at Southwest Baptist University.
