Kristina Bell begins her first season at Southwest Baptist University as the athletics intern. She played three years of basketball at Abilene Christian University and one year of softball.

While at ACU, the women’s basketball program was ranked nationally in the NCAA Division II academic team honor roll every year she was there. Their top ranking came in the 2001-02 season when they were #1 in the nation. They were fourth in the 2002-03 season and #5 in the 2000-01 season. This past May, Bell graduated from ACU with a bachelor’s of science in excercise science and a minor in psychology. She carried a 3.61 gpa.

A California native, she played all four years in high school. She broke the county record for the most free throws made in any single game by going 23-26. She also tied the county record with the most three-pointers in a game with seven. She graduated in 1999 from Woodside High School in Redwood City, California.

The first-year assistant coach is working on her graduate degree in education. She is single and has no pets.
