| Kristina
Bell begins her first season at Southwest Baptist University
as the athletics intern. She played three years of basketball
at Abilene Christian University and one year of softball.
While
at ACU, the women’s basketball program was ranked nationally
in the NCAA Division II academic team honor roll every year
she was there. Their top ranking came in the 2001-02 season
when they were #1 in the nation. They were fourth in the 2002-03
season and #5 in the 2000-01 season. This past May, Bell graduated
from ACU with a bachelor’s of science in excercise science
and a minor in psychology. She carried a 3.61 gpa.
A California
native, she played all four years in high school. She broke
the county record for the most free throws made in any single
game by going 23-26. She also tied the county record with
the most three-pointers in a game with seven. She graduated
in 1999 from Woodside High School in Redwood City, California.
The first-year
assistant coach is working on her graduate degree in education.
She is single and has no pets.
