In
his fourth season as a volunteer, Banner joined the Lady Bearcats
after teaching and coaching at Fair Grove High School in Fair
Grove, Missouri from 1990-2000.
Banner’s
career coaching record is 152-107. In 1995-96 and 1997-98,
he won the district and conference championships. He was named
Mid-Lakes Coach of the Year in 1995-96. Banner coached former
Lady Bearcats Erin Easterly and Tamara Everson and has coached
against former Lady Bearcat Carrie Long and current Lady Bearcat
Jenni Jones.
Banner
is a 1990 graduate of Southwest Baptist University with dual
degrees in math and physical education. He was a student-assistant
coach from 1987-1990 and played for the Bearcats from 1985-87.
He graduated
from Eldon H.S. in Eldon, Mo., and resides in Bolivar with
his wife Trina and their two sons, Deacon and Boaz. He currently
owns and operates Creator Designs, a local screen printing
business in Bolivar. |
