LADY BEARCATS CRUISE PAST COLORADO SPRINGS

PITTSBURG, KAN. ... Jennifer Clymore scored a career-high 19 points as she led the Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats (2-1) to a win over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (0-2), 63-43. Amber Wheeler added 14 points for SBU while Gwyn Smith grabbed 13 rebounds.

The Lady Bearcats scored the first eight points of the game and never looked back as they ran by UCCS. UCCS did not score their first bucket until the 13:33 mark and did not break the double-digit barrier until the 6:53 mark. SBU was up by 22 points, 32-10, with 2:37 left in the first half when Ashley Bland made two point shot. SBU only allowed 12 points in the first half and held UCCS to only 14% shooting from the floor.

UCCS put up just as many points as SBU did in the second half at 31 points. The Lady Bearcats largest lead was 23 points with 7:06 left in the game off of a layup by Smith.

SBU will be back in action on Monday, November 24th when they host Henderson State University at 6 p.m. in the Davison Field House.
