Amy Allison will enter her first season as the student assistant for the Bearcat volleyball program. Allison is a 2003 graduate of Jenks High School in Oklahoma where she was an All-State selection in volleyball and basketball.
Allison continued with her volleyball career as a middle blocker at the University of Arkansas. Allison received several awards throughout her career including all-tournament team selections, second team All-SEC, CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors, two-time SEC Good Works team selection, and SEC defensive player of the week. Allison led the SEC in blocks her junior year and was ranked second in the nation in blocks per game.
Allison graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2007 with her BS in kinesiology and exercise physiology. She is currently working on her doctorate of physical therapy at Southwest Baptist University.
