MIAA PLAY ON THE ROAD TOUGH FOR SBU

KANSAS. ... In their final road trip of the year, the Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats (2-25/0-13) dropped two matches in the MIAA as they traveled to Kansas. On Friday night, they fell to #20 Washburn (0-3) and then on Saturday they lost to Emporia State (0-3).

Against Washburn, Ashlee Denbow led the Lady Bearcats with nine kills on 27 attempts. Morgan Yattaw had 29 assists while Jessica Stewart had nine digs. SBU’s best game was game one as they hit .214. They also recorded five team blocks in the loss (20-30, 22-30, 15-30).

On Satruday, SBU dropped their second match of the weekend to Emporia State (13-30, 22-30, 21-30). Kristanella Allain recorded 16 kills and 16 digs to lead SBU. The Lady Bearcats had 13 team blocks. Morgan Yattaw had 27 assists.

SBU will be back in action on Thursday, October 30th, when they host Truman at 7 p.m. in the Davison Field House.
