The Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats (1-12/0-9)
fell to Missouri Southern State University (13-8/5-5) in three
games, 30-21, 30-19, 30-19. SBU 37 kills in the match.
Monica Martinez
led SBU with 12 kills while Kristanella Allain had 11. Allain
also recorded 18 digs in the loss. MSSU’s Amy Little
and Jessie Puszewski each had seven kills.
SBU had a kill
percentage of .146 compared to MSSU’s .237. Morgan Yattaw
recorded 29 assists for SBU.
The Lady Bearcats
will be back in action on Thursday, October 16th, when they
travel to Siloam Springs, Ark., to take on John Brown University
at 7 p.m.
