SRINGS, ARK. ... In one of their best matches of the season,
the Southwest Baptist University Lady Bearcats (2-21) came
away with their second win of the season over John Brown University
(16-8). SBU won in four games, 30-24, 30-21, 21-30, and 30-24.
In game
one, SBU hit.440 with 14 kills and only three errors in the
30-24 win. For game three, they hit .257 with 16 kills. Overall,
the Lady Bearcats had 17 team blocks (16 block assists and
nine block solos).
Kristainella
Allain led SBU with 16 kills and 14 digs. Monica Martinez
added 12 kills while Leah Elliott had nine. Morgan Yattaw
had 30 assists along with five block solos and three block
assists.
SBU will
be in action again on Saturday, October 18th, as they travel
to Pittsburg, Kansas, to take on Pittsburg State at 11:30
a.m.
