SBU COMPETES AT KU RELAYS

LAWRENCE, KAN.. ... Competing against several NCAA Division I and II schools, SBU came away proud at the Kansas Relays. Two SBU records were broken at the meet.
T.Jay Sanderson finished third in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:29.47, just one second behind winner Christ Stoves of Oklahoma State. Sanderson's run was a new SBU record. Both Clint Davis and Austin Bunn ran in the one mile run and finished 16th and 17th.
On the women's side, Amy Broadhurst broke the SBU record in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:08.47 while finishing in seventh place. Christine Showler came in 11th (3:29.05). Sara Tedford finished in 14th place in the 600-yard run.
SBU will travel to Warrensburg, again, on Saturday, February 7th, to compete in the Mule Relays. |
