Teri McKay transferred to SBU last season from Garden City
(Kan.) Community College.
We are working hard this fall to accomplish our goals
and hope for a positive outcome in the spring, McKay
said.
McKay played outfield for the Bearcats in 2002 and was second
on the team in batting average with a .328 on the season.
She had 116 at bats in her 39 games and recorded 38 hits and
12 RBI. She crossed the plate 18 times. She also recorded
six doubles to tie her sister, Janis McKay, for most doubles
on the team. She had a .373 on-base percentage and was 4 of
5 on stolen bases.
McKay was named an honorable mention choice for the All-Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association team last season as
a junior.
She is the daughter of Gary and Lois McKay and a 1999 graduate
of Waterdown District High School in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada.
