What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a popular method of sharing content (such as news stories) without requiring visitors to constantly visit a Web site to see what's new. RSS feeds contain headlines and links to the full story.
How can your recive RSS feeds?
A number of RSS news readers are available for download and many are free. Some versions of readers are Web-based (ie. Firefox) or Email based (ie. Outlook).
How can I subscribe to the SBU Athletics News RSS feed?
Typically, aggreators and readers have a "Subscribe" button, that when clicked, prompts you for a feed address. When prompted, enter the following address (http://webapps.sbuniv.edu/news/bearcatrss.xml) and you should now be subscribed. Since aggregators and readers differ in how they work, you many need to refer to the "Help" Section of your aggregating software for details.
