NO. 14 BEARCATS TO PLAY IN BRONCHO INVITE

EDMOND, Okla. – Southwest Baptist’s men’s tennis team will travel to Edmond, Okla. this weekend to take part in the 10th Annual Broncho Invitational, hosted by Central Oklahoma Univeristy.

The Bearcats enter the weekend with a 14-5 overall dual record. SBU is 5-0 in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play after defeating Northwest Missouri State on Saturday and Missouri-Rolla on Monday. Both scores were 7-2.

SBU will face Midwestern State at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. The Bearcats defeated MSU 8-1 on March 15. The Bearcats will play two matches on Friday, April 11. The first will be against East Central Oklahoma at 9 a.m. The second match will be against Incarnate Word at 2 p.m.

If the Bearcats make it to the semifinals by winning their first three matches, SBU will play at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12. The finals are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The Invitational has 12 men’s teams set to participate in the three-day event. The mtches will be held at five sites aroudn the metro area – the UCO Courts, the Edmond Racquet Club, the KickingBird Tennis Center and Oak Tree in Edmond and the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
