Four Southwest
Baptist Bearcats were named to the Mid-America Intercollegiate
Athletics Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
Chosen to the team from SBU were Marc Green, a junior sports
management major from Rockwall, Texas; Chris Katz, a sophomore
criminal justice major from Bellview, Neb.; Casey Sumner,
a senior chemistry major from Fitzgerald, Ga.; and Dan Sundberg,
a sophomore biology major from Bellview, Neb.
Student-athletes are named to the list under the following
criteria: 1.) The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point
average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2.)
The student-athlete must have at least two terms of attendance
at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3.) The student-athlete
must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligibility;
4.) Student-athletes inactive due to redshirt or hardship
qualification are not eligible.
