Baptist’s Marc Green and Shawn Linder were named to Don
Hansen’s Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-Midwest
Region Third Team.
Green, a 6-2 junior wide receiver from Rockwall, Texas, finished
the season with 85 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns.
He averaged 92.2 yards per outing and 11.9 yards per catch.
Green was second in the conference in yards per game and receptions
per game (7.73).
Linder finished the season with 22 solo and 31 assisted tackles.
The 6-2 senior defensive lineman from Wrightville, Ga. had
seven tackles for a loss of 17 yards, including one sack for
10 yards. He also recovered one fumble.
A total of 81 players earned some form of Football Gazette
All-Midwest Region honors. Players from 26 of the 29 football-playing
schools in the Midwest Region earned All-Midwest Region accolades.
This marks the first year Football Gazette has selected NCAA
Division II All-Region teams. The national publication has
selected NCAA Division II All-America teams since 1988.
