Dante Cipulli defeated SMS's #1 singles player, 6-3, ret. to help gain a point vs. the Bears.

BOLIVAR, MO. ... Southwest Baptist University gave NCAA Division I Southwest Missouri State a run for their money as SMS pulled off a 6-3 win. SBU defeated SMS last season in Springfield.

SBU was down 3-0 heading into singles play and won the #1, #4, and #5 matches but fell in three sets in singles #2 and #3.

Dante Cipulli, Johan Nortje, and Hunter Emmott won their singles matches.
