Dante Cipulli won both of his matches vs. MSU

LAWTON, OK. ... On the first day of the Cameron Invitational, the #14 Southwest Baptist University Bearcats went 1-1 with a win over Central Oklahoma in the second match of the day. In the first match, SBU fell to Midwestern State, 5-4.

Going into singles play vs. MSU, SBU was down 2-1 as Dante Cipulli and Johan Nortje won the #1 doubles match, 8-3. SBU then dropped the #2 and #3 doubles match.

In singles, Cipulli, Daniel Prerad, and Hunter Emmott won their singles matches at #1, #2, and #5. Nortje fell in the #4 match to Charles Van Swelm, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4, as one of the deciding points.

In the second match of the day, SBU regroupded for a 5-1 win over Central Oklahoma. UCO won only the #2 doubles match.
